What is Common Between Donald Trump, Jack Welch and Martha Stewart?

Wedding favours... mini journal/sketchbook?
I was thinking of mini journal/sketchbooks as wedding favors. My fiancee is an artist and I write a lot so I thought it would be a good idea. They would also double as seating place cards... we would tie a ribbon around it with a little place card on the front saying the name on a piece of paper... similar to what was featured in a Martha Stewart wedding mag this month... what do you guys think?
I think it would make an unusual and charming place card, but if you are expecting guests to consider these as little treasures that they will be eager to take home, you will be disappointed. If you don't mind that they will mostly be left sitting on the table, not put into pockets and handbags as take home mementos, then knock yourself out.
The idea that favors are 'expected' or 'necessary' is recent invention, a marketing tactic conconcted by The Wedding Industry. So don't fret yourself over favors. If anyone tells you it will "look funny" to NOT have favors at all, that person is simply incorrect. Send him/her to Miss Manners or Emily Post.
