Are there any reliable, cheap photo studio kits that I can buy online?
Looking to do some basic portrait photography and green screening with kids in a computer lab, and needed something cheap (<200), but reliable. Tired of using poster paper pinned to the wall, lol!

Well in my experience with green screening anyone is that you have to keep all the shadows off the background or removing it becomes that much more of a chore. I think you can use this kit, but I wouldn't recommend using only this kit. If it were up to me, I'd buy the kit and these bulbs (ebay item # 140271599148) which will screw right into the base of the lights. I actually have the same bulbs and holders that i got from someone else on ebay. They work great for background lights.
You might want to look for some inexpensive monolights with stands for the actual light source. They don't have to be powerful if you're just shooting a couple kids at a time, 150w/s or so.
Too bad it can't be that inexpensive AND work how you want it to, but I don't think its enough light to do much with. Maybe you can find the same kit with the strobe bulbs instead of the fluorescent bulbs. Good Luck!
