You can imagine my excitement when I heard rumblings of a family wedding. Any excuse to put my Cricut Expression to good use is music to my ears. The bride to be was my cousin's daughter and she was planning to have 10 bridesmaids! There was no time to waste for designing unique gifts for the June bride and her entourage.
I decided to make small purses on my Cricut Expression for the bride to be to give as a token of appreciation to her bridesmaids. I left room inside for the blushing bride to tuck away meaningful mementos into each purse. The colors I used for the designer handbags were the identical wedding shades of lime green and lemon yellow.

Directions:
Select white and coordinating colors of card stock. Use one-half sheet of printed card stock for the bottom part of the purse. White card stock for inside. Cut with the Cricut Expression. Use colored card stock to cut purse handle and flap.
To assemble:
To serve as the handle, fold the cut circle in half. Overlap a third of the ends and glue to the inside of the cardstock. Glue the purse flap and attach the handle to the handbag. Glue the white card stock inside. Embellish with ribbon, flowers, brads, and stickers to match the occasion.
I could not very well leave the groom and his 10 groomsmen out of the fun! At the end of school during a previous year, one of my students had given me a "survival kit". (I guess she thought I would not be able to survive the summer, when I could have really used the kit when school started!) I took her clever idea and ran with it to my Cricut Expression!
Instead of a lunch box, that my student had made my survival kit into, I used empty gallon paint cans for the groom and groomsmen survival kits. Luckily, my sister is forever changing her wall color so I was able to gather up plenty of empties! (Not insinuating she is a drinker too! Ha-ha.)

Directions:
I used the shapes from the Sport Mania cartridge on my Cricut Expression to decorate the outside of the empty paint buckets. By using a combination of all the sports, I figured that at least one of the images would strike a chord considering I did not know the guys personally. I left it up to the groom what he would fill the paint cans with for the bachelor party favors!
Excuse me, fellow scrappers, I have to get busy on the bride's shower and wedding memories scrapbook! As luck would have it, my cousin' daughter and cousin both are scrapbooking hobby extraordinaire so there are sure to be a lot of Cricut Expression scrappin' going on all summer long.
