3m Aerosol Adhesives
3M is a company that has continued to maintain its reputation for being a leader in innovation and a producer of quality products. Forty years ago, the first industrial aerosol adhesive was introduced by 3M and now they have developed a wide range of 3M aerosol adhesives to suit a variety of needs for consumers. With a simple finger touch, the 3M aerosol adhesives release the substance to do the job without the aid of glue brushes. This aerosol adhesive is considered a neat “power tool” for industrial assembly and maintenance.
Adhesives are indispensable to manufacturers and construction industries. This excellent adhesive makes furniture have a quality finish. Manufacturers stick to the products that give them value for their money, like 3M aerosol adhesives. This product has been proven to be more economical because this handy aerosol saves the expense of complex systems thereby saving both time and money.
3M aerosol adhesives have produced different products for solutions to a variety of needs. The following are different products with application ideas.
- Blue 72 Spray Adhesive –This is best for bonding carpet to wood, repairing jute-backed carpet, bonding polyethylene film or foam, temporarily holding fabric, swimming pool liners, sealing polyethylene under concrete, and inner packing in packages.
- Foam Fast 74 Spray Adhesive –Best for bonding general upholstery foam bonding, sound damping foam to metal, knife edge bonding for foam shapes, forming foam shapes by boxing, forming foam shapes by edge turning, bond fabrics to aircraft interiors and core starting for mattress pad fabrics.
- Repositionable 75 Spray Adhesive - This adhesive is best for lightweight materials, temporary label attachments, holding emblems during stitching, holding T-shirts during silk screening, creating a template or pattern, holding temporary paper masking, and in picture matting.
- Hi-Tack 76 Spray Adhesive – This has strong one-surface bonds, high temperature resistance, bonds to polyethylene and polypropylene, and a controlled variable width spray pattern. It is best used to attach nameplates, bond pipe insulation wrap, seal poly bags, bond door fabric in vans, attach pool table fabric, and attach fabric to a pottery base.
- Super 77 Spray Adhesive – It has high coverage for general purpose, versatile for bonding many materials, long bonding range, and low soak-in for long lasting bonds.
It is used in variety of POP applications, bonds gaskets in water pumps, attaches decorative foils and films, bonds fabric to foam, fastens motor coil wrappers, attaches grinding discs, attaches fabric to bulletin boards, and assembles easel-backed cards.
- Rubber & Vinyl 80 Spray Adhesive –This adhesive bonds all rubbers except EPDM. It bonds most supported vinyl, leather, rigid PVC to rigid PVC, many plastics and laminates, rubber insulation to pipes, and door gaskets.
- Hi-Strength 90 Spray Adhesive – It has high strength contact bond, one-minute dry time,
high temperature resistance, and controlled variable width spray pattern. It is best in bonding decorative laminate, kick plates to desks, plastic letters to wood, countertop edge banding, fabric to particle board, polyethylene and countertop edging, and banding polypropylene to metal or wood.
Aerosol and cylinder adhesives provide higher solids content than that of solvent-based adhesive.
3M aerosol adhesives provide convenience and speed leaving a perfect finish, minimizing overspray, clean-up, and unused adhesive.

Is there a semi-adhesive wallpaper, or some decorative sticky paper that can be removed from walls w/o marks?
My sister is having a baby boy soon and lives in an apartment in Manhattan. They are not allowed to paint their walls unless they paint them back and do not want to pant the walls of the nursery for ease when moving out. I suggested cutting out blue green and dark blue circles (she wants polka dot decor for the baby's room) of a sticky paper/plastic material that can adhere to a wall but be removed without damage - any suggestions? I know this stuff must exist I just don't know what it's called.
Contact paper. It comes in every color, you can cut out any shape you want and it's cheap!
