Water Transfer Printing At Home
Now you are ready for some water transfer printing. Simply place the decal on the preferred surface, slide it from its paper backing to the surface, and position it well with wet fingertips. Sweep it gently with a squeegee or rubber spatula to keep it free from having bubbles. After the transfer is complete, apply a resin sealer on the design so you can save the design from cracking, fading and peeling.
The first thing you will need to do is to select an image you will use for your water transfer printing project. You can either scan a photograph or search for a picture on the internet. You will then need to make the necessary adjustments to the image so it can properly fit on the surface where you will be placing it. Then, you will need to print the design into the decal and apply four coats of decal fixative spray on it. Let it dry and cut it our. You will then need to place it in warm water for about 20 to 45 seconds.
There are different things you will need in making water slide decals at home. The things you will need include a graphic design or desktop publishing software, a printable water slide decal paper, printer, cardboard, decal fixative spray, scissors, water, container, towel, decal applicator squeegee or rubber spatula, paper towels, resin sealer, mask, and gloves.

Stencil-pro transfer solution?
Hi, I recently bought a bottle of Stencil-Pro transfer solution, but no info about proper application of the gel.
I dont wish to waste any of it, so what would be the best method to applying the solution?
so far all ive tried is paper towel, and direct rub-on with my hand.
Also, i think i read somewhere that you must allow it to dry before you begin tattooing, but apply the stencil while still wet, is this correct.
Any addition info you deem useful would be appreciated.
I have been using deodorant and green soap so far.

Stencil-pro is great stuff, put it on with a ball of sterile cotton. Apply transfer right away, while it's damp. A little dab is all it takes. Let it dry good, once you've got the correct placement. It makes re-sticking the stencil a breeze, if necessary. Just another little dab, and do it again. Hold your stencil in place for a minute, after it's dried, it'll be on there a lot better than with either green soap or deoderant. Work your lining from the bottom up, and if you do accidentally wipe it, it usually still holds up, unlike a deoderant stencil. I love the stuff. Take care.
